Well, to continue with what happened on the next two weeks, I've got to say I was absent the first week! It was about a method called Community Language learning which Zahra Ashoori and Fateme Tejenjari explained in the class. I don't have much to say about this method so let's get to the next method taught on the second week, Total Physical Response. Unfortunately, we couldn't have the discussion at the end of these two sessions.

Total Physical Response seemed a really useful method to me as my friends were performing it in the class. In this method, the teacher commands students to do different kinds of activities and they have to obey her. Then, when a student feels she is ready, she can do the commanding part and the teacher or other students have to obey her. In fact, there are lots of physical activities and this is how students learn the language. Keep in mind that no student is forced to talk in talk in this method until she is ready to do so. Students first listen and learn the language. Then, perform the activities and talk in the target language, exactly the same way an infant learn his/her native language.

As the presenters were performing a play, you could see that almost everyone was engaged in the process of learning and teaching and that was the most enjoyable part in my opinion, a lively classroom! To sum it up, I can say that I liked this session very much but it could have been much better if we had done the discussion part.
